Badrutt’s Palace Hotel becomes a team Sponsor

The historic and world-famous attraction of St. Moritz, the Badrutt’s Palace Hotel, will be sponsoring one of the teams at St. Moritz Ice Cricket. The iconic Badrutt’s Palace Hotel, will not only be branded on their kit but will also be branded in the team name.

The Badrutt’s Palace Hotel has been around for more than a century and has been managed by a visionary and dynamic team led by Mr. Hans Wiedemann (Managing Director & Delegate of the Board), Mr. Yves Gardiol (CEO) and Mr. Richard Leuenberger (General Manager) for over a decade. St. Moritz Ice Cricket and the Badrutt’s Palace Hotel share similar values and are inspired by the history of cricket, the tradition of winter sport in St. Moritz and driven by a dynamic spirit to make innovative dreams happen. The aim is to establish another iconic annual event within the St. Moritz’ calendar.

Having lived in Australia for many years, Mr. Hans Wiedemann is a huge fan of Australian cricket. Mr. Hans Wiedemann cannot wait to support the Australian batsmen and bowlers when they battle it out on ice and snow on the frozen lake of St. Moritz against their arch-rivals from England and New Zealand. Australia have faced these rivals in many memorable Ashes Tournaments, World Cups Tournaments, Test Matches and other formats of the game. The Australians will play shoulder to shoulder with the Indians in one team, giving the wife of Mr. Hans Wiedemann, originated from the Indian culture, an even bigger reason to join in on the action and support the team with her husband.

The CEO of VJ Sports, Vijay Singh, is really excited to have Mr. Hans Wiedemann on board for this event as he has won several awards in the hotel industry and will be using his vast experience to advise the board of St. Moritz Ice Cricket.

The Badrutt’s Palace Hotel is known for being a host for international film stars, international sports heroes, business tycoons and royals, and will now be the host of some of the greatest cricketers from all over the world in February 2018.
The Badrutt’s Palace Hotel will host the Gala Dinner on the first day of the tournament to celebrate with sponsors, guests and players.
